If you're a pet person like me, and seen people get the wrong stuff in petstores, have you ever said something to them? For example, I saw a lady getting pine bedding and she was wondering what the difference between Aspen and pine wood shavings were. She asked a worker, first mistake. Never ask workers. Their information is false because its very outdated (most of the time). In the end she got pine, which is unsafe whereas aspen is perfectly fine. I use it for Mochi's litter. I want to say something, but I'm too scared to approach a stranger and think that I'm just a little kid. I've experience this feeling twice. This lady had a very small cage and was getting a hamster. Even the worker said that its a "little" small.
If you experience this, and know that you can say something, DO IT. I regret it every time. Just think that you could save an animal's life. I might start a hamster care section. Spread the word. Even if one person learns something, I would be very pleased. Update!
That's it! I really like snakes but, I don't like feeding mice or rats, even though I know it the circle of life and it happens. I got my hamster!!!! Well about 3 months ago. She is a Syrian hamster. I don't know why pet stores give weird names for smaller animals. For example they would call black hamsters "black bear hamster." Its like calling a black dog a "black bear dog." I don't understand. These pictures were from the first day I dot her so she's a bit bigger now. Her name is Mochi. She is extremely fast and loves to run on her wheel. She also loves to come out of her cage. Some advice I would give if you were to get a pet, is TO DO A TON OF REASERCH. There a ton of forums out there if all different types of pets. So many people don't and end up shorting their pet's life. You aren't a bad pet owner if you make mistakes but you're a good one if you do something about it. So many people think that hamsters need small cages like the ones you see in the pet stores, I like to call them torture chambers. Or people using "fluff" for hamster bedding. If you search up "dangers of fluffy hamster bedding" you will probably find a whole list. I find it so strange that Petsmart and Petco say "don't use pine wood shavings" yet they still sell it. Never ask pet store employees for advice because their knowledge is very outdated. If you have access to a phone or electronic, take advantage of that and make a pet's life better. If any of you want a hamster ask me if you have any questions. I'm getting a hamster!!!!! As you can tell I'm all ready and set up for our new family member. I will be putting a wheel in the cage soon. There is no water bottle because I just cleaned it and it is drying. I'm hoping to get the hamster tomorrow because we're going to see Rogue One and there is a Petsmart nearby. I would rather get the hamster from a rescue or the shelter but there are NO hamsters available where I live. I will be calling my hamster Mochi (moki). I've been doing a TON of reaserch. The cage I got is 30"-18"-30". It is the Kaytee multi level exotics cage. I use the Kaytee clean and cosy and the Carefresh purple for the substrate. If any of you have hamsters or any questions about them, let me know by commenting. My birthday is coming up soon so I'm hoping to get more hamster toys. The first of December!!!!!😆😆😆 For Christmas, I've been wish for a hamster. I've been doing reaserch for about two and a half months? He dream would be getting a dog or a cat for Christmas, but it wouldn't be very realistic.😩😭 I would say I'm close to persuading my parents. My family and I just came back from vacation in LA. We got to go Universal Studios to see Harry Potter and Hogwarts. The trip was very fun and my sister and I got lots of souvenirs. My sister got the Gryffindor robe and scarf. I got Hermione's wand and my sister got Harry's wand. We went to other places in California such as Santa Monica Pier. This is my best friends project that she made. She did her topic on clothing. She made a modern day family and a 1800's family. Check this out:

Because it lives next to a waterfall, it is very loud. To communicate, they wave their hands! It is called "semaphore." As you can tell, they come from Panama, South America. Since they are brightly coloured, they are very toxic and dangerous like other poisonous frogs. Sadly, they are critically endangered and almost extinct in the wild because deforestation, loss of habitat, water pollution and over collection.
The Kihansi Spray toad is actually extinct in the wild but conservationists and biologists are breeding them to save them. They also live near a waterfall but they live in Tanzania, Africa. But the government decided to build a dam across it for electricity. Kihansi Dam time line: Construction begins ~ 1994 Opening date ~ 2000 Construction cost ~ $272 million The dam cut off the waterfall and it eliminated the mist from the waterfall. The Spray toads need the mist to stay moist and to breathe. When they cut it off, I got a pet beagle!!! Not a real one of course but a stuffie. Currently her name is Patch/Patches. We're at our grandma's house for dinner. I just had a belated birthday party with friends because we were really busy and didn't have enough time to book it. We had it at the 4 Cats Art Studio. We did the pop art workshop. If you look at their party themes, you will able to see what it is. We each got to paint a cat with water colour paint and my friends and I, together, got to paint a big pop art butterfly painting. Then we got to use a silk screen to put an off centre black butterfly. The gifts that my friends gave me we're really thoughtful. I got some really thoughtful cards. Our school is going to be rebuilt so the students will be put in another place. The older students will be moved to the high school that is separate and further away from the elementary school. The high school is really far away from us and expensive so I'll be moving schools. I'm really sad because I'll miss all my friends. I got a chest that has dogs all over it and two American girl outfits that my friend gave me. My best friend and I have the same American girl doll. I talked about her in a post before. My American girl is named Julie-anna and my best friends is named Joy-Anna. The two outfits she gave me she also has so we can be matching. We have many other matching outfits. I also got stickers, a 300 piece puzzle, an activity book that is like a diary, Minnie Mouse in a rabbit costume stuffie, something fragile that I haven't opened yet and a card. All those things was from one person. My friend that gave me the beagle also gave me a box with words on it and a Starbucks gift card. I got gift cards from Chapters and Michaels. Hi, I'm looking for more ideas for set ups/stories for my dolls. Vote for which one you like: - continue with the same one - them traveling See them travel to Paris and London. - dance See them prepare for a big dance competition. Sienna does ballet, Willow does modern and Julie-Anna does gymnastics. Hi! In school, we're doing state projects. Which means that we pick randomly from a bucket and choose which state we're going to have to reaserch and present. I got the state of Hawaii!!! We already did I the presentations bit Hawaii is very interesting. Hi! Sorry I haven't been posting but when I did, there was a reason I couldn't. The big thing is that is got a "pet" beagle,Patches! It's my birthday on Friday!!! I can't wait! I'm sorry I haven't been posting for about two months. I've been duper busy with homework and extra curriculum. I'm also starting clarinet in band in school. In school we have a week of school called theme week. We get to study the 1800's. Sometimes they do the 70's or the 80's or even the medical times. I'm very excited! I'm not sure you remember Raja, a cat we took care of for about two weeks for our cousin. We are very excited because we are taking care of him again! My sister and I are very happy and excited. At number 17 is the: Blue Glaucus The Blue Glaucus is a type of sea slug and spend its time floating upside-down on the surface of the Pacific, Atlantic and the Indian ocean. It swallows an air bubble and lets the wind take it away. It might seem harmless because of how peaceful it is, but it is not. It has two tricks that make it so interesting. First, the colourings make it camouflage from both sides. When under the water, the gray back of this slug is hard for the animals under the water to see it. When above, the blue belly camouflages with the water. The next trick is that it feeds on a group of animals like the jellyfish especially the Portuguese Man of War jellyfish. Some sea slugs can eat dangerous things like that. Then, the poison gets transferred to the finger like fins. The small animal is only about 3 cm long!
The next animal coming up for spot 18 is the: The Irrawaddy Dolphin I find that the Irrawaddy dolphin might not be the weirdest but I wonder why they named it a dolphin not a porpoise. Look at the picture. A dolphin has a long and slim beak but this dolphin has a round and short beak. These dolphins are found in coastal areas in South and Southeast Asia, and in three rivers: the Irrawaddy, the Mahakam and the Mekong. Sadly, only between 78 and 91 individuals are only estimated to still live. They are on a high risk of extinction in the wild. These dolphins are mostly threatened by bycatch, the accidental capture of aquatic animals in fishing gear. The WWF are helping these animals. On their website you can "adopt" a dolphin and donate to help.
The next animal claiming the spot for number 19 is the: The Pink Fairy Armadillo The Pink Fairy Armadillo is the smallest armadillo out there. They are only 5 inches long and have a rosy pink shell with soft white fur on the belly. Unlike most armadillos, they don't rely on their shell to protect themselves but use it like a radiator. They pump blood in and out to raise or lower their core temperature. They almost spend their entire life underground hunting invertebrates and plant matter. They are extremely rare. Conservation biologist Mariella Superina of Argentina’s National Scientific and Technical Research Council has been studying other armadillos in the pink fairy’s habitat for more than 10 years and has never once seen one in the wild. She has only seen them is they are brought in because of injury or if confiscated from people who them as pets. They live in Argentina, South America in the dry grasslands and sandy plains.
I'm going to do a thing about my opinion on the top 20 weirdest and interesting animals in the world.
